New Committee Introductions

Dear Members,

The VSA Golf Extraordinary General Meeting was held on the 23 October 2011 following the game at Waterford Valley Golf Club. The sole purpose of this meeting was the nomination & Selection of 2012 office bearers.

Charanjit Singh Khaira was the returning officer and in his address he thanked the outgoing committee for their efforts and acknowledged their hard work. During the election process 31 members were present and participated in the election of the following Office bearers who were elected unopposed.

President : Harbhajan Singh Sandhu

Secretary : Herbhajan Singh Dhillon

Captain : Ranjeet Singh Bhatt

Asst Captain : Balvinder Singh Sindhu (Co Opted by the elected Committee)

Treasurer : Balbir Singh Mann

We welcome Puran Chaal who has agreed to maintain the upkeep of the Eskies and will ensure that there is enough of the Amber fluid flowing following games.We also welcome Chanchal Singh who has agreed to manage our food requirements following our games. We will endeavor to assist him on the BBQ as required.We thank Ranjeet Chaal who has agreed to resurrect the VSAGolf internet site and we will work towards booking of games on the site and among other things.

Our vision for 2012

• To encourage younger people to participate in VSAGOLF games.

• To encourage ladies to participate as well.

• To ensure that every game is sponsored and sponsors treated equally.

• For us to transparent and open to new ideas and suggestions.

• To respond to members complaints/suggestions as soon as possible.

• To provide all members with monthly accounts with copies of all transactions.

• To maintain up to date handicaps

• The Captain will complete reports following each game announcing the event acknowledging the sponsor and winners.

Member Fees Update

Dear members, Following consultations with members and financial projection analysis work carried out by the committee, it is decided the following fee structure be enforced from February 2012 until further notice:

Green Fees Member Adult : $40.00

Green Fees Member Junior :$30.00

Green Fees Guest : $45.00

Annual Fees : $10.00

Joining Fees Adult :$10.00

Joining Fees Guest : $45.00

The main factors driving the increase in green fees for adults are as follows:

- General increase in green fee charges by clubs over the year.

- Limited subsidy for juniors, whose green fees remain unchanged and the removal of joining fee

- Funding of activities (green fee subsidy for October Competition and subsidised entry into Presentation Night)
